Why does my drain smell bad, and how can I fix it?

Foul odors from drains can be caused by food debris, build-up of soap and grease, or a dry trap that allows sewer gases to come back up. Regular cleaning, running water frequently in rarely used drains, or using natural cleaning methods like pouring a mixture of baking soda followed by vinegar can help. If the smell persists, you may want to consult a plumber to ensure there’s no underlying issue.
